How to Find Out What Your Catalytic Converter Is Worth

Cross-section of a catalytic converter: ceramic honeycomb inside a metal housing

The value of a catalytic converter cannot be reliably determined from appearance alone. Two converters of similar size can have very different values, because it depends on the model and the amount of precious metals in the core. That is why a valuation starts from the serial number.

1. Valuation by serial number

The fastest and most precise method. Find the engraved marking (where to find the serial number) and send it through the valuation form or on Viber/WhatsApp +381 65 3300 630.

2. Valuation by photo

If the serial number is not legible, send 1–3 photos: of the whole part, of the spot where the marking should be, and of the connections. Add the make, model and year of the vehicle if you know them.

3. Catalog search

In the catalytic converter catalog you search by serial number and see the model, weight and vehicle makes. Catalog prices are available to subscribers — useful if you regularly buy or sell catalytic converters.
